Is There Censorship in the Press and Broadcasting?

What is Digiturk Trying to Do? It is always explained and written that our country is a free country, where everyone can express their thoughts as they wish. However, recently, unreasonable penalties, cancellations, and censorship have begun to be applied. We recently experienced the most prominent example of this with the removal of TV channels by Digiturk. These cancellations, made without even stating why or for what reason, had a very strong backlash and led to steps being retraced. This and similar situations can put our country in difficult positions on the world stage. Does Saying "I Canceled It" Make It So? Consider an institution that is bound by certain laws and protocols and must comply with them. But one day, we see that it illegally removes many TV channels from its platform because they do not align with its own views. It is not anyone's right to simplify the Republic of Turkey, a just country, in this way. Everyone must show patience towards different opinions.
