Materials Required for Underfloor Heating

The underfloor heating system, which provides heating with water pipes and electric cables laid under the floor to heat an indoor or outdoor area and prevent snow and ice, continues to be presented as a distinctive feature of important projects.

Is Underfloor Heating Advantageous?

To heat a space from the floor, a heating system must be installed by using certain materials under the flooring. These materials, known as underfloor heating materials, form the basis of the system. The better the quality of these materials, which consist of styrofoam, water pipes, and the apparatus used to fix these pipes, the longer the lifespan of the system will be. Styrofoam is laid under the screed. The water pipes laid on the styrofoam circulate the hot water needed by the system. The water pipes are fixed to the styrofoam with special apparatus. After all these steps, the screed is poured and the floor covering is applied. The pipes belonging to the system are not visible and do not create dead spaces in the room, making it a decorative application. This system provides higher quality heating compared to radiator systems and is more advantageous in many ways. The most fundamental feature of the system is that it distributes heat equally everywhere. The warm air rising from the floor distributes homogeneously throughout the space. It provides energy savings of up to 30% due to its low reaction temperature.
